Josephine Becker Eco warrior

I created my Instagram account (@treesnpeace) primarily to hold myself accountable for my actions and to document my personal progress on this sustainability journey. It was private for a while, until I realised how much power lies in social media and how I could use it positively. Now, I share low-impact living tips on reducing our carbon footprint, plastic-minimalism and vegan living. I also share my experiences on climate activism and sustainable travel. I hope to challenge perspectives and privilege (including my own) created by our current system and motivate others to think outside those boundaries. A big part of my current engagement online is sharing voices and stories from minority groups, that are otherwise silenced and I lift up those voices in my work.

From my personal experience, I have gained a lot of knowledge and inspiration from social media and I hope my blog can do the same for others. When I am offline, I study sustainability and adaptation planning for climate change and this blog gives me a creative outlet to communicate the urgency of the climate crisis. Some of it is more factual, other more emotional.
