Tom Brady will be 43 when he takes his fist snap for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It will be odd to see the six-time Super Bowl winner in anything other than red, blue and silver.
After more than 20 years, his resume is well known: sixthround draft pick, six Super Bowl titles and nine appearances within 18 seasons, four Super Bowl MVPs. The ultimate purpose of the game is to win championships, and Brady has accomplished that more than anyone in history. But his legacy is more than championships. He’s one of the most prolific passers the game has ever seen, and many of the teams he won with were built on later-round draft picks just like him. In fact, his first three Super Bowl teams had a total of two offensive skill players who made the Pro Bowl.
