November’s Black+White is packed with stunning monochrome photographs, advice on technique, and enlightening reviews and interviews.

In our features section acclaimed photographer John Blakemore reflects on the images that document his long career, while Jonathan Critchley battles with the elements in a bid to capture the majesty of the Tall Ships Race. Fine art printer and film devotee Robin Bell is the subject of a new documentary film by Richard Dunkley so we caught up with the man himself to see why digital can never replace the magic the darkroom. Plus, Susan Bernstine reports on a series of moving images, by Alen MacWeeney, portraying the lives of Irish travellers that are finally being published in book form after nearly forty years.

Deserving of a special mention is our new series, A fortnight at F/8. In this exciting new feature we get acquainted with freelance photographer Tim Clinch, he’s a character by the way! We look forward to sharing his insights from behind the lens with you in the coming months.
