Join a community of like-minded birders, amateur and professional ornithologists, writers and photographers when you read British Birds, the birdwatchers’ journal of record.

Each month, we publish a range of articles, each giving a detailed account of its subject, with page space allocated to allow for really in-depth coverage. All profits generated by the journal support conservation and research projects.

“British Birds is a journal for all occasions. It’s the key depository for our birding past; it keeps birders abreast of what’s happening right now; and it will surely help us all to chart the future of ornithology.”
Mark Cocker

I have subscribed to BB in one format or the other since the late 50's when I obtained it through my newsagent and then direct and now in digital format, I think the digital format is the best, you can find things in it quite quickly and it doesnt take up any space! I have a house full of back copies because you cant afford to throw them away! Reviewed venerdì 3 aprile 2020

There used to be an occasional feature called I think 'West Palaearctic News' which I haven't seen for years. I think it should be resuscitated for a variety of reasons.
