Sun tunnel
Determined to build an energy-efficient dwelling and keep utility bills low, Phil looked for alternatives to bring light into the windowless bathrooms. He installed Velux sun tunnels in the east facing part of the roof to make the most of the sunshine. During the daylight hours, the ducts channel natural brightness into the rooms, meaning Phil has no need to turn on any lamps. The tubes off er an eff ortless change in atmosphere as they cast back variations in weather and clouds. Even moonlight can be reflected through them.
