It was on his annual trip to the United States that Mark Reeves felt the first sparks of inspiration that would eventually lead to the contemporary makeover of his detached house in Pinner, north London. “We stopped off in LA and did the Hollywood bus tour around all the fancy houses,” he says. “The properties were super slick and modern, with a clean, streamlined finish.”
