Caledonian Marts sale report

ALL CLASSES of hoggs were sharper on the week, in Stirling, at Caledonian Marts Ltd’s sale on Tuesday.

2185 prime hoggets, ewes and tups were sold, with 1594 hoggs averaging 211.5ppkg (+4.6p on the week), with 1100 hoggs (39- 52kg) averaging 217ppkg.

Top price of the day went to Doune Farms, West Lundie, for a 57kg Beltex at £120.
