Youths devastated as hub café needs to seek a new base

A YOUTH club with up to 150 members could be homeless come December as its current property is up for sale.

Members were said to be shocked and devastated when they were told last Friday that the former Weir, Ferguson and Martin building contractor’s premises, which the Hub Youth café has used for five years, is to be sold. On Wednesday morning, development worker Mandy Robertson told a meeting of the Kin-tyre Substance Misuse Forum that the lease on the property has been terminated by its owners, Glasgow firm Sim Group Holdings Ltd.
