Campbeltown Pupils AFC is 100

The Pupils are pictured in 1926/26, with the famous Italian international Johnny Moscardini, inset, top left, and John Durnan, captain of Swansea in the English League circa 1920, inset, top right.

Kintyre’s premier football side, formed in 1919, has reached 100 not out and kicked off a year of centenary celebrations.

Last week’s Down Memory Lane featured some of the Pupils’ top teams of the past and there is a further selection on pages 34 and 35, plus a match report on the back page.
