AN ORGANISATIONAL oversight left out some of the top prizes from last week’s results of Kintyre Piping Society’s 2017 Junior Championships.

Here is a list of those special trophy winners: Youngest competitor: Euan McCartan, Lochgilphead; The Margaret Anderson memorial trophy for best local in event one: William McLean; The John Sinclair memorial trophy for best local in event two: Euan O‘May; The Friends of Ireland trophy for the most promising competitor not in the prize list in events one and two: Drew Mc- Lellan; The Murdo MacLeod MA memorial trophy for best local in event three: Andrew Renton; The George Cathcart shield for best local in events four and five: Ross Conner; The Dugald Stewart memorial cup for best local in events 10 and 11: Jamie McKerral; The Islay trophy presented to the girl with most points overall: Hazel Whyte, Larkhall; Dress and Deportment: Andrew Ferguson, Dollar.
