Close encounters at Dunaverty Am-Am

AN EVERGREEN 52 saw golfers Kevan Gilchrist, Graham Gilchrist, Alan Glendinning and Andrew Robertson return to the top spot.

The popular Dunaverty Am-Am also saw a prodigious 300-yard drive from Lochgilphead’s Steven Gilmour to take the gents’ longest drive spot prize.

Dunaverty’s Ailie MacBrayne smashed her way to the ladies longest drive.

Some 37 teams of four turned out to play the recent contest on a course well prepared by greenkeepers David Scullion and Willy MacMillan.
