THE COURIER would like to point out that a leader comment about non-seagull proof street litter bins was not intended to discriminate against the boating community.

Last Wednesday, anyone could have put a white pedal bin bag, containing food waste, sunscreen packaging and two wine bottles into a council litter bin on Kinloch Road, opposite the Royal Hotel, which is the nearest street bin to the pontoon ramp.
