Council’s digital switch saved £550,000 last year

REPORTING dog fouling or ordering a marriage certificate has never been simpler.

The switch to 24/7 digital services saved Argyll and Bute council more than half a million pounds last year, with the council having made signifi – cant improvements to the digital services it provides.

The number of self-service transactions has increased by 41 per cent, from 189,350 in 2012/13 to 336,203 in 2016/17.
