THREE Kintyre churches have made a comforting gesture to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in London.

Kilcalmonell, Killean and Kilchenzie, and Gigha and Cara kirks have a joint prayer shawl ministry, making blankets and knitted items for those in need of comfort, and decided that those in London affected by the fire fit the criteria exactly.
