Sarah‘s United States piping success

A former Campbeltown Grammar School pupil took Kansas City by storm when she piped her way to gold medal success.

Former Kintyre Schools Pipe Band member 25-year-old Sarah Muir, now living in Glasgow, competed for the first time in the city‘s Winter Storm solo competitions.

The pipes and drums event, which took place between January 12-14, consisting of master classes, concerts, and competitions, annually attracts around 350 piping and drumming students, with 150 pipers and Sarah Muir with her gold medal from Kansas City‘s Winter Storm.drummers entering the solo contests and nearly 1,000 attending the public concert.
