Town centre chip shop blaze WELL-KNOWN Campbeltown business Rab’s Chippie has been destroyed in a fire.

Flames swept through the Campbeltown fish and chip shop on Tuesday morning with frightening speed. Rab’s Chippie on Shore Street, a long-established and popular business run by the Brown family, has been destroyed leaving Margaret Brown and assistant John McIlroy badly shocked; John needed help from an ambulance crew for the effects of inhaling smoke and was taken to Campbeltown Hospital as a safety precaution but released later that day.
