Milk price continues to sour but First Milk backs Campbeltown

THE PRICE of milk is continuing to decrease with the announcement of further pool price reductions implemented by First Milk.

Taking effect from May, a cut of -0.66ppl to creamery milk pools will be unwelcome news for Kintyre dairy farmers already battling low prices.

First Milk, however, has claimed it has a new business plan focusing on premium sales which will help save remote creameries.
