Paul Weller wants to make an entire record with Boy George. The Culture Club man appears as a guest vocalist on Weller’s 13th solo record, A Kind Revolution, and he would love to record more.
“Hopefully, we’ll do some writing together in the future”, says the so-called Modfather. “I wanted him on the record because I think his voice has just got better and better. I’ve always liked George’s [vocals] but for a few of us, if you’re lucky, your voice matures and Boy George has just got a beautiful soul tone now. It worked out good.
“He was great to work with, he only came down to the studio for a couple of hours, there was no drama, he just did the vocal and that was it.” However, the chances of both vocalists touring together are slim. Weller quipped: “We can’t take Boy George on the road because we wouldn’t have room for his wardrobe!”
