Andrew Ridgeley is returning to Radio 2 to discuss the songs that inspired him and George Michael. Wham! The Music That Made Us airs on New Year’s Day at 12pm featuring the tunes that influenced young Georgios Panayiotou. Andrew, who made his radio presenting debut earlier this year with Andrew Ridgeley’s 80s Playlist, promises to spin a range of music by the likes of Elvis Presley, Joy Division, Elton John, The Specials and The Sugarhill Gang. He will talk for the first time about the music that bonded him and George, plus the material that encouraged them to have a go themselves and form first band, The Executive. Wham! The Music That Made Us is part of the BBC Radio Christmas line-up.
