Blondie’s Chris Stein has revealed that he may never play with the group again. Talking to The Sunday Times, the guitarist, who co-formed the band with his then-girlfriend Debbie Harry in 1974, admitted that he often feels “fatigued” and has come to terms with the fact he might never tour again.
Stein last performed with Blondie in 2019 and in 2022 issued a statement explaining his absence from the live lineup, saying, “I’m sad and frustrated to report that I’m not going out with the next bunch of Blondie touring. I’ve been dealing with a dumbass condition called Atrial Fibrillation or AFib, which is irregular heartbeats and combined with the meds I take for it I’m too fatigued to deal.”
