Though named as if it’s the companion piece to 2021’s Get Up Sequences Part One, this latest album from Brighton’s premier pop scrapbookers could easily be titled Thunder, Lightning, Strike Part Seven, so unchanged is it from their 2004 debut. As with that album, though, Part Two repackages pop’s past in thrilling technicolour, a pop culture cut-and-paste job that sounds simultaneously retro and futuristic. It’s just a shame that, 19 years on from that first Mercury-nominated album, they’re still remaking it.
