One section of the drumming on Woman In Chains is by Phil Collins, whose work showed that not all of The Seeds Of Love took forever to come together. Curt was friends with Phil’s producer Hugh Padgham and had met the Genesis star at the Nelson Mandela tribute concert at Wembley Stadium in June 1988.
Phil Collins isn’t the only star guest on The Seeds Of Love. Backing vocals on Standing On The Corner Of The Third World are from Yazz, recorded shortly before The Only Way Is Up exploded in 1988.
