It won’t have escaped your attention that a rather important 50-year anniversary took place over the summer. NASA marked the half-century since the moon landing mission by welcoming none other than Duran Duran to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for a sensational tech-enhanced live show.

That’s quite an honour for this month’s cover stars but they more than lived up to expectations. Nick Rhodes tells us that he thought the gig, which featured 300 drones flying in formation while the band played, was “A Duran show for the ages.” The high-profile gig is testament to the way that the band have cemented their place in pop cultural history, but far from resting on their laurels, Simon Le Bon and Nick explain in our exclusive interview why they are very much looking to the future with new album sessions cracking on apace featuring some very exciting special guests.
