NEWS IN BRIEF
Coal tar pitch is now banned in the manufacture of clay pigeon targets, under new legislation that took effect in Europe at the beginning of October. Clay targets will now contain an eco-friendly binding resin instead, and as a result are likely to be slightly more expensive. Since 1 November, for instance, Eriswell Lodge raised their clay prices to 34p for members and 30p for members. George Digweed made a video with Johnny Goodhart of CCI about the changes, including shooting the new targets; watch it at www.bit.ly/ecoclays
