Within the world of sport,coaches often focus very heavily on identifying and developing areas of weakness in order to improve performances –but is that the right approach?
If an athlete is expected to perform to a world-beating standard, it’s not enough to work on weaknesses. We need to develop world-beating strengths. That means embedding strengths-based approaches in our training in order to perform, spending less time trying to weed out all our weaknesses and more time on maximising our strengths.
