SPRING HAS SPRUNG, and it’s around this time of year that I really get to thinking about living. By that I mean, Am I living life to the fullest? Maybe it’s the nicer weather that starts to break through, the longer days, the itch to get back outside and breath in fresh spring air or get my hands in the dirt and start working the garden. It’s a primal, almost animalistic need to break out of winter’s shell and reinvigorate the senses.
And it’s not just my outdoor spaces I take stock of; it’s my indoor spaces too. This time of year I always take a second look at my rooms—speciically the furniture in my rooms. Spring is a wonderful time to update and refresh, yet all too often we concentrate solely on the accents—throw pillows, art or décor. But the furniture is where we really do our living. It’s where we deserve to splurge for the good stuf. I believe in investing in big-ticket items like a wellmade sofa, a killer credenza or an amazing antique armoire.
