After selling out their current UK tour, The Delines have announced a headline London show at the historic Union Chapel in November. The band play the North London venue on 8 November after successful dates in Cambridge, Winchester, Bristol, Brighton and an earlier date at the capital’s Jazz Cafe this February. The band have fought back in the face of adversity after lead singer Amy Boone broke both of her legs after being involved in a car accident in Austin, Texas.
After two years of rehab and treatment, and with most of their sophomore album The Imperial already in the can, the band have now returned to active service, picking up where their stellar 2014 debut Colfax left off. Like that album, The Imperial features Boone evoking Dusty Springfield or a weary Rickie Lee Jones on 10 tracks penned by Willy Vlautin, formerly lead singer-songwriter in Richmond Fontaine and acclaimed novelist – two of his books have become major movies.
