Welcome to this brand new issue of Dancing Times. At the start of our 106th volume, we have taken the opportunity to incorporate into Dancing Times our sister magazine, Dance Today, which for nearly 60 years focused on all aspects of social dancing. In this way, we are reuniting within our pages the worlds of social and theatrical dance – from ballet to ballroom, and contemporary dance to Latin American, as well as a host of other dance styles – for the first time since 1956, when Dancing Times and Ballroom Dancing Times became separate magazines. Inside this issue you will find a host of articles, interviews and reviews, as well as favourite columns from both publications, that cover the many different aspects of today’s dance scene. We have also taken the opportunity to redesign and refresh the contents, so we hope all of our readers – both old and new – like what they see! Highlights of this month’s magazine include interviews with ballet dancer Carlos Acosta and Latin American champions Michael Malitowski and Joanna Leunis, as well as Marianka Swain’s light-hearted verdict on the opening show of the new season of Strictly Come Dancing. We also include Royal Ballet principal Lauren Cuthbertson’s own thoughts about recovering from injury in Talking Point, and hear about ballroom’s first International Championships from Nicola Rayner. Finally, I would like to bid farewell to our finance director, Fiona Conway, who leaves Dancing Times after two very fruitful years, and to welcome Beverley King, who becomes our new finance manager.

Dancing Times

I think more contemporary dance reviews and dance artists from this discipline are missing. I love the magazine, it only seems to cover mainly ballet and ballroom. Recensito 15 agosto 2020

Great read??

Amazing product and is so lovely to read about our current dancers and choreographers!! Recensito 28 gennaio 2019
