It’s time to get jamming. This winter, Dalemain House in Cumbria will once again be home to The World’s Original Marmalade Awards and Festival. Now in its 11th year, the competition attracts thousands of entries from around the globe, raising funds for charities Hospice at Home, Marie Curie Cancer and Action Medical Research. Festival sponsor Martin Grant from Mackays says, “This year it’s all about spice and flavours, such as cardamom or vanilla.” Fancy your chances? With categories from classic seville through to dark and chunky, there’s a place waiting for your family recipe. Entries close Sunday 14 February. The awards and festival will take place 19-20 March.
