WHY IT’S GREAT If you fancy a night in a quintessentially English village, Dedham needs to be on your list. The Sun Inn on the high street is a coaching inn full of old-world charm – wonky walls, wooden beams and crackling fires – which prides itself on having been a stopping-off point for travellers and revellers for centuries. As I stamped the frost from my feet and chose a little something to warm the cockles (it was a whisky mac kind of night), I could tell there was cosiness in store.
