Miller is a big man, and that’s often a challenge when it comes to buying a suit that’s both stylish and a good fit. If you’re carrying some weight around your midsection try a double-breasted suit. The off-centre buttons and cross-over design of the jacket is more flattering than a two-button, single-breasted suit, which accentuates the midsection. The cut also gives the illusion of a slimmer waist and a broader shoulder.

Double-breasted jackets traditionally have a double vent, the two splits at the back of the jacket. These will give you more movement when sitting down and assist with the fit.

The Suit: There’s really only one way to get the George Miller look and that’s to visit a tailor and have your double-breasted suit made to measure. Most XL or XXL shirts may fit across the shoulder but have too much fabric in the sleeve. Suits have the same challenges; while the pant may fit, the jacket won’t do up or, if it does, you’ll need to hold your breath so the buttons don’t pop. Having your suit and shirt made will ensure the perfect fit so you can step out looking more dapper than doughnut.
