My role in the ‘script to screen’ process started quite a while ago, when Chris [Chibnall] said yes to the job! At that point, we started talking about writers – who were the people we’d really love to see writing for the show? Who could bring something new and exciting? I then met those writers and tried to get their take on Doctor Who without telling them I was working on it! Then Chris and I whittled down the list. Slowly but surely, we assembled our fantastic new writing team.
