IN DIRECTOR JON Wright’s 2012 horror-comedy Grabbers, a small island off the Irish coast is invaded by alcohol-averse aliens, prompting the mother of all lock-ins. In his 2014 follow-up Robot Overlords, the whole Earth has been invaded by robots, putting (quite presciently) the human race on lockdown.
