JOE CARNAHAN: “I was watching Zodiac the other night and it’s just a brilliant film. It’s underrated. I grew up in Northern California and I wanted that story, and I look at the movie, and there was no fucking way I could ever have made it as brilliant as Fincher made it. That scene at Berryessa Lake, where the couple’s just lying there and the guy shows up and he stabs them. It’s about eight shots, and it’s just sublime. Not a wasted frame. We could spend three hours talking about it.”
