It’s time to play the music and turn on the lights because celebration season is here! In this office we are in particular festive form as we get ready to pop the fizz at the first industry kitchen and bathroom awards of our sister title ek&bbusiness at a glitzy sit-down ceremony in central London. Personally I will be presenting the ekbb Editor’s Choice: Kitchen Furniture of the Year award so I need to find something to wear – and fast! Earlier in the month, our best dresses were being donned also, this time at the annual Amara Interior Blog Awards, where we scooped the prize for Best Magazine Blog. Not only that, but we managed to meet and collar some of our favourite bloggers there and ask them about their own stylish spaces. Turn to page 94, to Insider Design Bathrooms and read Emily Murray from The Pink House’s round-up on some of the most inspirational bathrooms in the industry. It’s rare that we come to the end of the issue and I can put my hand on my heart and say that I absolutely love everything that is in it. Not only are our four real-life kitchens all so unique and packed with personality and vibrance, they are also so full of integrity and spirit. From Tobias and Maren’s gorgeously sustainable dream in Let it Breathe on page 22 to Nick and Tracey’s luxe industrial-look cook space in Rustic Revolution on page 34, it’s such a pleasure to meet and read about homeowners who are as passionate about design and sustainability as we are. Meanwhile, for those of you who don’t have a palatially sized pad and are maybe planning something more chic and concealed for 2017 turn to Small Wonders on page 70 where Hayley Gilbert talks through all the options there are in bijou kitchen design now.
