The epitome of this has to be our cover story – the kitchen of fashion editor and blogger Erica Davies – which has so many layers of interesting buys and finds, it has you reaching to take notes at every turn. Speaking of colour, it seems that the designer’s fear of working with anything but greys and neutrals is finally abating this season, with so much more interesting pattern, shape and, yes, even colour returning to the fore. While we can’t imagine that avocado suites in bathrooms are coming back in just yet (or ever), there is definitely a feeling now for more experimental surfaces, tiles and furniture than ever before. November is typically the time to batten down the hatches and snuggle down for the winter season, and one of the best ways of doing this is by firing up the log burner and layering on the extra blankets and throws.
