Whether you’re reading this on a sun lounger in your back garden or on a plane back from somewhere lovely, you might be still in holiday mode but I bet, like me, you’ve started to think of all those things you want to do with your house when it comes to the back-toschool season of September. Well, whether it’s finding a new paint palette for your bedroom or moodboarding a whole new look for your kitchen or bathroom, there are so many ideas to steal in this issue, you are in for a treat... Starting with kitchens, we’re loving all of the contrasting colours, textures and finishes coming through now, but what is the key to pulling this mismatched look together? Turn to Pick & Mix on page 78 and read Hayley Gilbert’s expert advice. In bathrooms, we have brought some of that holiday spirit home and have been gathering looks that you can incorporate – see En Suite Dreams by Emily Murray on page 110. Personally, I’ve been rounding up some of my favourite trends in bathrooms in Pure Vanity (page 117) and you can rest assured that it’s all about laid-back and liveable luxury – think fabric baths, dreamy shades of sage and blue and showers and wet rooms spaces that you could literally move into. For bedroom inspiration this issue, I’m also loving assistant editor Emma Foale’s selection of new-season paint colours in Dream in Colour (page 136).
