Evolution Magazine  |  Issue 17

With Issue 16 selfishly concentrating on just one Evo model, we’re jumping in with both feet for this edition and covering (almost) all Evo generations, and virtually every interest group, sport and Continent too!
This months cover car is Eric McWilliams’ incredible EvoX creation from the West Coast of the USA which Eric built as a show car, and show winner, but also has all the right components to compete in Time Attack!
Jumping across the Pacific to Japan finds us with Garage G-Force and their latest build, an exceptionally focused Evo IX circuit racer and Time Attack challenger built with plans firmly set on snatching the WTAC crown.

Sprinting is very ably represented by the latest incarnation of Gary Hayward’s Evo 7 which we couldn’t pass up the opportunity of featuring again, and ties in nicely with the shock news that the MLR Sprint Series is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2016! More on that milestone elsewhere in this issue. The world wouldn’t have the Evo without rallying, so what better than to visit Ireland and feature Shane Kenneally’s Evo 4 rally car which he built largely himself and on a super tight budget, which goes to prove you don’t need a huge budget to build (and use) the car of your dreams.

The Evo4 was just one of the many cars rallied to great effect by Richard Burns during his all too short career, but we’re honoured to be able to feature Richard’s very own immaculate Evo V GSR thanks to the Richard Burns Foundation allowing us access to shoot this amazing car.
And where better to wrap up this issue with a tale from self-appointed obsessed Evo owners Sue and Jason Leach who after owning a fleet of different Lancer Evolutions imported their own TME and then got stuck in to make it the car they really wanted!
With Evo News, Motorsport and Regional Reports from around the UK and a competition courtesy of MTEC Brakes, I hope you enjoy this issue.
