Your article 10 Life-Enriching (But Simple) Habits To Start In 2018 (February) has been one of the most helpful I’ve ever read. Your experts said being happier isn’t about setting huge goals – it’s the tiny tweaks that count, and I agree. With your advice in my mind, I made a list of realistic short- and long-term goals, breaking them down into small, manageable steps that were specifically defined and could be measured. One goal was to lose one pound a week. Another was to eat more healthily, replacing a dessert with fruit or yoghurt. At the week’s end, I felt euphoric as I’d achieved my goal. Making changes takes time, but I now know I can do it. I just need to remember no-one is perfect and if I have the odd lapse, I should be kind to myself.
