The village of Lacock is rather unusual in that it still perfectly resembles the quaint settlement that stood here centuries ago. With limewashed stone and timber-fronted buildings, the village feels like a step back in time for visitors.

For the 2017 TV series The White Princess, producers filmed a cavalry charge through Lacock village ford. To protect the horses, they were forced to lay down astroturf beneath the water.
