When I speak at agricultural conferences, one of the most common things I hear from the audience is a desire to escape their current jobs, have more time to farm or homestead, or to make more of a living from their land. So how does one get from the “stuck in the city, working for someone else” life to the captain of their own ship? For me and my family, it started with what we call “side hustles.”
