Bernard and Miranda have an apartment in Verona

Wiltshire-based Bernard and Miranda Hodgkins own a twobedroom apartment in Verona. They spend five or six long weekends there every year, and also visit for several weeks in the summer and over Christmas. They offer holiday rentals at all other times.
What drew them to Veneto? “We came here on honeymoon about 30 years ago,” Bernard explains. “It was the first time either of us had ever been to Italy, and we naturally imagined that there could be nowhere more romantic for a honeymoon than the city of Romeo and Juliet! We went to Venice during that trip too, and also up into the northern part of Lake Garda. Needless to say, all that combined with being newly married left us both hopelessly besotted with this corner of Italy.
