Almost as fail proof as fish fingers, courgettes are ridiculously prolific, making them ideal for timepoor gardeners. Sow a few seeds indoors in early spring.Then, when all risk of frost has passed, plant them outside in a spacious, sunny spot, or even a grow-bag. All you have to do then is remember to water them and by mid-summer you’ll have more than you know what to do with. Fortunately, there are loads of great ways to use them, from pasta dishes to cakes and even chips. What could go wrong?
