CHEESY RIDERS

Theme park attractions that have become movies.

The Haunted Mansion (2003)

Eddie Murphy starred in this film. It was based on a ride that is featured at all of Disney’s major theme parks called The Haunted Mansion ride. The ride itself is a ghost train that takes guests around

a Spooky house, filled with ghosts and ghouls. Unfortunately, the film wasn’t quite as exciting

as the attraction and received poor reviews from critics. One said the film is, “as lifeless as the ghosts in the movie”. Mexican director Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth) is set to make another film based on the ride and promises it will be both “fun and scary”.
