Online videogames are a fun way to pass the time. You can meet people, play in teams and join clubs. But sometimes it can become an obsession, and this can lead to all sorts of problems such as sleeplessness, aggression and withdrawal from society. But now there’s a new problem:virtualinfidelity.
Lauren Spokes was a victim of this. “I’d been married to my husband Greg for three years when I discovered that he’d been having an affair with another character on the online game Second Life*,” Lauren explained. “I found out about it one afternoon after I woke up from a little nap. To my horror, I saw my husband sitting in front of the computer watching his online character (who he calls Gordon Bond)cuddling another female character. I was so hurt. just couldn’t believe what he was doing. It’s cheating as far as I’m concerned.
