Pelargoniums, watercolour, 111⁄2x81⁄4in. (30x21m). These plants had been kept in the greenhouse all winter until the late snowy weather made me bring them indoors. I couldn’t resist painting them as their bright splash of colour both on the kitchen windowsill and in my sketchbook was very welcome.
