Keep on top of your inbox
Use rules and smart mailboxes to organize incoming messages
Smart mailboxes allow you to gather messages that meet specific criteria, such as the sender’s name, into one mailbox.
FIND THAT YOU rarely delete incoming mail and almost never file it in a folder? It’s a common issue. The result is thousands of messages sitting in your inbox. Perhaps many of them are even unread. While modern Macs and fast broadband mean that huge inboxes aren’t the problem they once were, it’s still good practice to organize incoming mail. Apple makes it easy with smart mailboxes, and rules, which perform actions on messages. Spend some time setting these up and your inbox will be much less cluttered.
