Shortcuts actions can include questions that wait for your input and use the answer to complete a task.
ONCE YOU’VE MASTERED the basics of choosing shortcuts from the Gallery, running them, creating your own and sharing with others, you’re ready to dig deeper. The shortcuts we’ve discussed so far are simple, with only a few actions and limited inputs. However, they can include questions that ask for your input before running. Apple’s Home ETA shortcut, for example, asks for your home address and who you want to notify before it calculates an ETA. Shortcuts can also have ‘if then else’ statements, where the result of the action varies according to conditions set. And you can set and call variables to store content in a shortcut.
