Men with moderate versus low cardiorespiratory levels have 47 per cent less risk of lung cancer, according to the first study that assessed the effect of fitness on sitespecific cancers.1 Interestingly, men with high cardiorespiratory levels showed minimal or no decrease in cancer incidences compared to the moderate group.
