Desc: Firefly Collection No 9 – The Tartar Road The Wiking Division
And the drive to the Caucasus, 1942 by Dennis Oliver and Stephen Andrew

ADH Publishing, in collaboration with The Oliver Publishing Group, presents the eighth title in the Firefly Collection. Author and illustrator Dennis Oliver is joined in this title by renowned military artist Stephen Andrew to showcase the men and armoured vehicles that held the German lines in the Netherlands through 1944 and 1945.

The Tartar Road. As with our last title Stephen Andrew and I will be sharing the illustration duties and this is going to be a permanent feature from now on I'm very, very happy to say. This book is something of a prequel to our first release with ADH, Viking Summer, and covers the SS-Wiking division during the battles for the Caucasus oilfields in the summer of 1942. The illustrations also feature vehicles of other units that served in southern Russia at the time and we try to make sense of the semi-official camouflage schemes and colours that were coming into use at the time. As always the book will contain black and white archive photos, maps, diagrams and more.

Each book in this series is an invaluable resource for the modeller, military enthusiast and general reader.
